SUMMARY:     I have worked in the wine industry for more than 30 years.  My experience has covered both the North Coast wine region (21 harvests) and the Central Coast wine region (9 harvests). My specialties are varietally true, full-bodied red wines with a smooth balance of tannins and dry, fruity white wines, including sparkling wines and ports.  I have produced numerous gold medal wines in my career, one of which was selected and served at the White House for a presidential state dinner.  Many Sauvignon Blancs that I have made were consistently rated the best in the world.  Over my career I have had the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of winemaking including product development, custom crush clients, sales, distribution, bulk wine purchase and sales, winery design and expansion, equipment troubleshooting (electrical & mechanical) and repair, label design, managing budgets and TTB paperwork.
